Sarah Champion, Member of Parliament for Rotherham, is pushing for the provision of more allotment and community garden land as part of National Allotments Week 2025 (11th August – 17th August).
This follows her political campaign with Rotherham constituent and Chair of the National Allotment Society, Mike Farrell, to ensure allotments and community-gardens were prioritised in the Government’s Planning Bill. [1, 2]

Sarah Champion, Member of Parliament for Rotherham and Chair of the International Development Select Committee, has coordinated a cross-party letter to the Prime Minister and the Foreign Secretary, pressing for UK recognition of Palestinian statehood at the forthcoming UN Conference, taking place in New York on 28th-29th July. The letter is signed by 221 MPs, from nine political parties.
