Personal Assistant

Are organisation and efficiency the driving forces behind your working practice?

Sarah Champion MP is looking for a confident, detail-orientated person to join her Westminster team as her Personal Assistant and Diary Manager.

Working with the Executive Office Manager as well as the Parliamentary team, the PA will provide primary support to Sarah with diary management and administration.  They will align Sarah’s diary with daily Parliamentary duties, such as votes, manage all diary entries for Parliamentary appointments, prepare paperwork and other materials for meetings and events, greet and escort guests, and generally ensure Sarah is where she needs to be when she needs to be there.

Flexibility, excellent communication skills, and accuracy are essential. Previous experience with diary management and general administration is strongly preferred.

This is a fast-paced role in a busy office with an experienced MP; enthusiasm, the ability to adapt to change, and a cool head under pressure are essential.

The role is offered in a hybrid capacity, with a requirement to be in the Westminster Office when Sarah is present.  Regular visits to Rotherham will be required.

Please note this role will include evening and/or weekend work from time to time as agreed with the MP.

Upon appointment you will be required to apply for security clearance, undertaken by the Security Vetting and Pass Office. See Members’ Staff Security Clearance page for further info.
